Cookie Policy

This explains the small files and browser storage Velkeep uses. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use analytics cookies. If live chat is switched on, the chat provider uses its own cookies (section 3).
1. Strictly necessary cookie
- aw_session: keeps you signed in. Secure, HttpOnly, sent only to Velkeep. Lasts 14 days (8 hours for platform administrators), or until you sign out.
Because this cookie is strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for, the law (the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations) does not require us to ask for consent, so we do not show a cookie banner.
2. Storage on your device
- Your name, role and agency, so the app opens quickly.
- Photos and checks waiting to be sent when there is no signal, so nothing is lost offline.
- Your current shift, last chosen tab and light or dark mode.
- App files saved by the service worker so the app works offline.
This data stays on your device. Signing out clears your account details from it.
3. Other websites
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address but sets no cookies. When you pay, you are taken to Stripe or PayPal, which use their own cookies under their own policies.
Live chat: when we switch it on, our home page and the manager screens show a chat box from tawk.to. It stores cookies and browser storage so your conversation continues as you move between pages. It is never shown to guards. You can close it, or block tawk.to in your browser, and the rest of the site works as normal.
4. Managing cookies
You can delete cookies and site data in your browser settings. If you block the session cookie, you will not be able to sign in.
